SunWest Foundation
SunWest Foundation Mission
It is the desire of the Board of Directors and employees of SunWest Credit Union to obtain resources to improve the educational experience for school children. We feel that every child deserves the basic material necessities in school so that their energies can be focused on developing their academic and social skills to their fullest potential.
The SunWest Foundation, a 501c3 organization, was founded by the credit union and its employees in 1998. Its purpose is to help underprivileged children in the schools. Since its inception, the Foundation has donated more than $150,000 to local kids in need. The credit union has also been recognized with state-level awards for our community involvement with the Foundation.
The Foundation believes that continuing education is important and thus also provides scholarship monies so that students can achieve their education and career goals at Pueblo Community College and Colorado State University – Pueblo.
Principals and Counselors of D60, D70, and Fremont County Schools can request Funds for students in need.
